Scott is an active supporter of University of Iowa athletics, serving on the board of the Polk County I-Club. He also remains very active with his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, serving on the Iowa chapter’s Alumni Board. As part of his efforts, and in honor of a slain fraternity brother, Scott serves as the Development Director for the Dan Holmstrom Memorial Scholarship which awards an annual scholarship to a University of Iowa undergraduate each Fall. Scott is also very active with the Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, Dallas County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association holding various leadership positions within those groups.  He also takes great pride in, and tries to remain active in his boyhood home of Brooklyn, Iowa; and his current hometown of Adel, Iowa.
