Mike’s litigation practice has focused on discrimination, civil rights, commercial litigation, and personal injury cases. Mike has tried cases in state and federal trial courts throughout Iowa and has handled appeals in the Iowa Supreme Court, the Iowa Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has handled cases in state and federal administrative agencies including the Iowa Public Employee Relations Board, the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Merit Systems Protection Board, and the Office of Special Counsel. This varied practice has evolved Mike’s ongoing practice to include acting as a mediator in a wide variety of civil disputes.
