Jim’s practice is focused on client advocacy in two primary areas: civil litigation and legislative affairs. Jim has been involved in over 150 jury trials. He is a member and past president of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Iowa Chapter, whose membership requires certification of trial experience. Additionally, he is a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, past chair of the American Bar Association Government Relations Section, and a member of The Advocacy Group (TAG), which is a national and international group of the premier lobbyists in each state and internationally.
