  • On October 30, 2015, Diane presented “Expert Advice on How to Deal with Parental Alienation in Family Law Cases” at the Iowa State Bar Association Family Law Seminar
  • On March 31, 2015, Diane was appointed by the Iowa Supreme Court to the Iowa Family Law Case Processing Reform Task Force
  • Mediator of family law cases since 2000 (40+ hours of training, including mediation in cases with domestic abuse)
  • Parenting Coordinator since 2009, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts training
  • Lay facilitator of continuing care groups at Powell Chemical Dependency Center since 1985
  • Licensed Foster Parent from 1990 to 2010
  • Representation of low income clients in family law cases for more than 25 years through legal services programs in Des Moines, Muscatine and Ann Arbor
  • Frequent instructor at continuing education and community education events on family law topics, including substance abuse and domestic violence in family law cases, joint physical care, custody evaluations, parenting coordination, marriage equality, legislative issues, and more
